Here's the scoop. I got accepted to VCUarts, and MICA accepted my portfolio, but VCU got back to me before I finished my MICA application and I love Richmond. SO. I am going to VCUarts (the only school I completely applied to. Haha). I never got around to applying to Corcoran(sp?), but apparently this one beeotch who I absolutely hate and isn't very talented got in, so, yah. I don't want to go there now, anyways. Haha. (It's actually a great school, I just hate her.) Plus they are going through some financial hell recently. Poor Corcoran.
BUT I am SO EXCITED for VCUarts. I have met some others who are going to be in my class on FB, and my good friend and artdork Annette will be there :] We are going to be eating pho at Saigon as much as possible, forrsure. Annette and I recently went into DC and saw a Louise Bourgeois exhibit at the Hirshhorn and then ran around the National Gallery of Art. We got some sketches in, it was great. I intend to do it again many times over the summer and get the most use out of DC as possible before going down to Richmond. I love art galleries!!
Now in school, it is 4th quarter and ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SURVIVE. My senioritus is such that I am only shooting for straight C's this quarter. I DON'T CARE. as long as I don't fail so bad VCU unaccepts me, I'm good. (but this one lady on vcuarts admissions loves me, so I am not worried.) I am so excited for summer/college. I could explode.
I have a lot of art which I have failed to post... my bad. I swear I will get on that asap :]

"Beggar"
Kelly McLeod was just chosen for the prestigious National Gallery of Art High School Seminar. The seminar participants meet 10 times during the year and conclude with a student presentation on an American artist. This takes a lot of time and commitment from the student.
woot! woot!

It used to be totally scorned upon by students here... but I love how it's the cool thing now! So many people (especially in CG) have accounts now! Wheeee, I watch you now. You are the sole hope for the Senior Art Show next year.

Listen carefully to first criticisms made of your work. Note just what it is about your work that critics don't like - then cultivate it. That's the only part of your work that's individual and worth keeping. ~Jean Cocteau
